Dubai, UAE, November 13, 2024: Ryan Mitchell, Head of QHSEW at UAE-based smart and green facilities management company Farnek, emphasized the transformative potential of AI and predictive tools in improving workplace safety and efficiency at the HSE Forum held at Le Meridien Hotel & Conference Centre.
During his presentation titled “Fast-tracking Technology Through Revolutionising Safety and Efficiency,” Mitchell highlighted the advantages of digital solutions like SAFETEK, an in-house developed tool by Farnek’s HITEK division. SAFETEK enables businesses to shift from reactive to predictive safety management by leveraging automation, cloud-based reporting, and real-time analytics.

He stressed that digitalization is pivotal in fostering safer workplaces and reducing downtime, ultimately ensuring cost savings and business continuity.
The forum, aimed at addressing critical HSE challenges in sectors like oil and gas, construction, and critical infrastructure, also featured insights from industry leaders such as Sultan Karrani of ADNOC, Saleh Al Balushi of DP World, and Dr. Maryam Bin Essa of Dubai Municipality. The discussions underscored the role of technology in risk mitigation, skills development, and sustainability.
Mitchell concluded by advocating for a digital mindset in HSE practices, emphasizing that careful planning and alignment with organizational goals are essential for successfully implementing these advanced tools.
