Kaspersky Boosts Cyber Defense Training with New Interactive Scenarios

November 14, 2025 — Kaspersky has launched significant updates to its Interactive Protection Simulation (KIPS) platform, introducing new and enhanced scenarios to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and incident response across critical sectors.

The move addresses the increasing complexity of attacks targeting industries like industrial, government, financial, and especially IT companies, which now has a dedicated new scenario.

Highlights of the KIPS Expansion:

  • New IT Industry Scenario: Immerses teams in modern enterprise operations, featuring realistic attacks like deep fake boss messages for financial scams, binary backdoor supply chain attacks, and trusted third-party breaches.
  • Enhanced Banking Scenario: Reflects advanced financial sector threats, including simulated LockBit ransomware campaigns, ExCobalt group tactics, and physical ATM exploits.
  • Refreshed Corporate Scenario: Focuses on enterprise-wide coordination across IT, Legal, and PR, showing how incidents like ransomware and insider threats affect the entire business ecosystem.

All KIPS scenarios are based on real-world threat intelligence and use gamification to train executives, managers, and technical specialists to improve cooperation, balance resources, and make strategic decisions under stress to minimize financial and reputational damage.
